Paradise - WWIII Reaches Hawaii

This is a custom map that I designed using the World in Conflict engine and tools. I spent over 400 hours working on this map over the course of 5 months. In July 2008, Massive Entertainment (dev. of World in Conflict) awarded Paradise the Grand Prize in the Official Map Making Contest, valued at around $1500 USD. Besides the WiC SDK, Photoshop CS3, Modo 301, DTree, a WACOM tablet, and various other tools were used to create this map. It is referenced off of actual terrain in Hawaii.
This video was filmed using camera splines and animations from ingame footage, set up and recorded by myself. The raw video was processed using After Effects, composited in Vegas Video 8, and the final render was then completed in After Effects. The production of this video took approximately two months on and off. |
